Mirrored Realities
May 10 - June 15, 2025
Cotilla Gallery - Alvin Sherman Library at NSU Davie Campus
"Mirrored Realities" invites you to explore the idea of reflection in both its literal and metaphorical forms. This exhibition encourages you to think of reflection not just as a replication of the physical world, but as an interpretive process—one where art becomes a mirror to our experiences, emotions, and inner landscapes. Just as a mirror captures an image, your work has the power to capture a perspective, revealing nuances of both the world outside and the realm within.
We view art as a dialogue between the creator and the viewer, a reflective process that brings to light hidden truths and offers new ways to see the world. In this context, artists act as mirrors, reflecting back the beauty of nature, the intricacies of identity, and the spectrum of human experience.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the NSU Alvin Sherman Library, supporting literacy efforts within NSU and Broward County.

Embracing Our Differences
January 19 – April 13, 2025
Bayfront Park, Sarasota
March 1 – March 31, 2025
Poyner Park, St. Petersburg
Since 2004, Embracing Our Differences has used the power of art and prose to promote inclusion, kindness and respect. One way we accomplish this is through our annual international art exhibition in Florida's Cultural Coast at Sarasota’s Bayfront Park and St. Petersburg's Poynter Park. The juried exhibition consists of 50 billboard-sized works of art, each accompanied by a thought-provoking quotation.
The winning artworks combine a deep understanding of both medium and message.

The statements accompanying each artwork are also vital and provide insight into our common humanity—as well as the differences that make us all unique. The artwork and quotations are separate competitions, judged blindly by separate volunteer committees, and matched together for this exhibition. In 2024, 422,576 people visited the exhibition—bringing the total amount of visitors to more than 4.8 million since 2004.
The 2025 Exhibition had an impressive response to the call for artwork and quotations, with 10,124 entries pouring in from 122 countries and 46 states.
